“Six individuals who used detonations in a raid against a gold refining facility in Lyon were apprehended red-handed,” France's security official stated online, commending law enforcement for their “firmness, rapid response and command”.

Assault rifles, handguns and explosives were likewise seized.

The robbery occurred as law enforcement in France on the same day detained five further people, featuring a main perpetrator, in regarding the recent audacious theft at the Louvre.

Many investigative personnel have been hunting four perpetrators who used a vehicle with a hydraulic lift and cutting tools to break into an upper-level exhibition space at the renowned museum on October 19th, fleeing with ornaments assessed at around €88M.

In another notable incident, thieves last month forced their way into the Parisian museum of natural history, stealing gold samples worth over $1 million. A young Chinese female was arrested earlier this month in Barcelona in relation to the burglary, prosecutors stated.

This series of robberies has sparked worry in the nation regarding inadequate security measures at museums and other institutions holding high-value objects.
